Guru Chaz has been training in Silat since 2006 and is an international instructor of Inner Wave Pencak Silat. He also holds a ranking in Chakra Lima Silat Combat Systems and has experienced 10+ silat systems during seminars, workshops, and training camps in the US and Indonesia. Although favoring traditional pencak silat practice, Guru Chaz has also competed in sport silat and in fencing (HEMA) tournaments to test his skills. He is currently a member of the US National Pencak Silat team and competed at the 17th World Championships in Malaysia. In the first U.S. National Pencak Silat Championship he took 1st in the Open Class Sparring Division.
